Revolutionary Road
At the suggestion of my favorite older brother, I am reading Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates as the subject of a book report for my Creative Writing Class.
Though I am only half way through the book (the report is due tomorrow morning) I am struck by how freaking much I like it. It strikes the same chord that The Catcher in the Rye struck in me. There's just about books that comment about humanity, in all its darkness and vocalize the thoughts that I have, but am never able to intellectualize. I just find them very intriguing. So I'm giving it one thumb up (and I expect that when I finish the other half I'll be able to supply the other thumb.)
