Basically, all I’ve come up with is asking my readers if there’s anything they particularly like me to blog about.
So what would you guys like to see more of on my blog?
- More pictures with doodles on them?
- More random design projects of mine?
- Drawings?
- Poetry?
- Random thoughts?
- Passionate arguments? (I doubt I’ve posted any of these, but I sure could start!)
- Craft projects?
- Tutorials?
- Cooking-related items?
- Awesome stuff I find on the internet?
- Writing related ideas and tips?
These are just a few ideas from the top of my head, some of which I’ve implemented in the past and others are just possibilities.
The more I read about blogging the more I understand that good blogs provide something valuable to their readers. What can I offer you?
Please put your thoughts in the comments. Let me know what I can do to make this blog a valuable experience for you! Or mark down what you'd like in the poll to the right at the top.
So, to summarize: I want to publish valuable content. Please let me know what that is. Give me any ideas about what I can do to make this blog a valuable resource for you. And PEASE COMMENT! :)
(I'm totally serious! If you want me to consider learning and posting about how to tap dance, let me know!)
EXAMPLE: Totally cool! I think you should post more about photoshop! I don't know how to use it at all, and it'd be great if you could teach me! Also, become a photography guru and share what you learn on your blog!
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of blog-as-you-learn-something! Whatever you decide, be passionate about it!
ReplyDeleteThat IS a good idea! But what do I want to learn about...? (By the way, some day you'll have to fill me in on where "Dashbo" came from.)
ReplyDeleteTotally Cool! I think you should post more furniture restoration projects. I would love to get some tips from you. Where do you find pieces, how to upholster, how to strip, stain, paint, and decoupage furniture. I love this kind of stuff but have yet to embark on a big project. I really liked the little ottoman (was it an ottoman?) you did awhile ago. I think it would be cool to have a guy's blog on this subject since most of the ones I've seen are girls'.
ReplyDeletePhotoshop tips would be really cool too and examples of what you can do with different photoshop/indesign/illustrator features.
Web-building/coding sources or tricks.
Stuff like that. You're awesome, Jeff.
Ooooh! Thanks Amanda! Those are GREAT suggestions! It's been a while since I've embarked on a restoration project, but I'm totally excited to now! I'm totally planning on some in depth Adobe-awesomeness in the next few months, and web building/coding is a bit farther out in my future. But I'll keep you updated. And Amanda, YOU'RE Awesome!

ReplyDeleteI completely agree with Amanda, not only because I want to learn more about upholstery and restoring projects, but because my apartment will reap the benefits! :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I really would love some awesome Photoshop tutorials because you know you're the family Photoshop genius now.
Jeffrey, PLEASE keep writing some poetry and also I LOVE LOVE LOVE the creative stuff you do on here, (photoshop, doodles, etc...)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Brodie! Absolutely will do and your use of caps lock alone will ensure my continued posting of creative stuff! :)
ReplyDeleteDo you still have that SonyEricsson phone? In a text, let it do it's auto-correct thing. Text me the results :)
