He's no Van Gogh...

Painting excites me. Bob Ross was always a personal hero of mine and the more that I have learned about art, the more I've wished I could paint. A few days ago, I decided I would.

I sweetly asked my wife's permission to drop $50 on painting supplies (fulfilling your life's dream? Priceless.) And drove to Porter's to get a canvas, acrylic paints, and brushes. 

I sat down with my blank canvas having a vague idea of what I wanted to accomplish (mainly I knew I wasn't going to try to paint anything that was supposed to look something) I knew I wanted to draw inspiration from this

And I painted. This is what I ended up with. 


If anyone's interested, I am willing to sell it for $100,000. :)

  2. I like the colors you chose--especially the blues--and can see this as the first of many experiments with color.
